  • I knew of Julian of Norwich before but only had a limited knowledge of her life and writing apart from her most famous quotation.I have just listened to the Women’s Hour programme for the second time and found it inspirational. I am ill at the moment, struggling with a series of disappointments and difficulties which threaten to weigh me down and have been so encouraged by her words and those of the participants on the programme. The one that stood out for me was ‘Thou shall not be overcome.’ I will definitely read ‘I Julian and ’ The Revelations’
