The Companions of Julian

The Companions programme was formally launched at the Julian Festival in May 2009 as a grouping within the Friends of Julian.   Companions are people who want to commit themselves, in a troubled world, to a spiritually deeper way of life inspired by Julian’s insights into the nature of God and other people.

The way of life of a Companion offers a liberating structure grounded in the mystical tradition. It is open to laity and clergy of all denominations or none. The Companions' constitution outlines the way of life that the programme seeks to inspire and explains the process of becoming a Companion. It sets out the core commitments that Companions are invited to adopt, including: daily prayer, regular study of Julian's Revelations, and sharing in the responsibility for furthering the educational work of the Julian Centre in Norwich.
