This new edition has been updated with cover art by Erin Currier and a foreword by Franciscan priest and ecumenical teacher Richard Rohr, founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) in New Mexico.

Mirabai used as her source the Middle English edition ‘The Showings of Julian of Norwich’, edited by Denise N Baker, published by Norton in 2005.

Mirabai Starr taught Philosophy and World Religions at the University of New Mexico-Taos for 20 years.  She now teaches and speaks internationally on contemplative practice and inter-spiritual dialogue.  Mirabai has written numerous books including ‘Caravan of No Despair: A Memoir of Loss and Transformation’, ‘God of Love: A Guide to the Heart of Judaism, Christianity and Islam’ and ‘Wild Mercy: Living the Fierce and Tender Wisdom of the Women Mystics’
