Lent Book Group online, beginning 7th March 2025

This Lent you are warmly invited to join the Friends of Julian online as we read and reflect together from Emma Pennington’s latest book All Shall Be Well: Visions of Salvation with Julian of Norwich.

‘All Shall Be Well’, those well-known words given to Julian in her thirteenth revelation have brought comfort and hope to many people.  However, what happens when all is not well, when pain and suffering return, and there are no happy endings?

These are the questions that Julian returned to time and again as she pondered on her Shewings.

Emma Pennington is the Canon Missioner for Canterbury Cathedral.  She speaks widely about the spirituality of Julian of Norwich and is the author of At the Foot of the Cross with Julian of Norwich, the Friends’ Lent book in 2024.  That book covers the first nine of Julian's visions; this year's book covers revelations 10-16.

Pre-reading of Part I is required before the author leads our first session on 7th March 6.30-8.00pm in the UK.  This is GMT for the first four weeks and BST for the last two weeks.

The book is available from the Friends of Julian HERE.  All proceeds go towards making Julian more accessible to the world.

The Zoom link for the sessions is available via Eventbrite HERE.
