LENT BOOK GROUP ONLINE BEGINNING FRIDAY 20TH FEBRUARY 2026

This Lent you’re warmly invited to join the Friends of Julian for an online retreat with the book Homely Loveprayers and reflections using the words of Julian of Norwich, by Sr Penny Roker RSM.

On a Friday for six weeks, we will explore and reflect on everyday objects from around the home (as suggested in the book), to help us in our prayer and reflection during the Lenten season.

Sr Penny will lead the first session on Friday 20th February 6.30p.m. to 7.30p.m. in the UK.

Participants will need to read two chapters before each weekly meeting.

Sister Penny is a member of a religious Order of Roman Catholic women known as Sisters of Mercy. She worked for over twenty years as a history teacher. Her more recent ministries have been in prison chaplaincy, counselling, and spiritual direction.

The book Homely Love is available to buy from the Friends of Julian by CLICKING HERE.
