Resident Steward at All Hallows House, Norwich, appointed

Fr Richard Stanton, the Priest Director of the Shrine, writes:

The Julian of Norwich Partnership, in which the Friends is a partner, has announced the appointment of Josiah English as the new Resident Steward at All Hallows House, Norwich.  He and his wife Jo will join us on site in the New Year ready for the reopening of the refurbished All Hallows House as a centre for pilgrimage, hospitality and community life.

The post, funded by a generous grant from the Community of All Hallows, is for an initial three year period.  Josiah and Jo currently live in Birmingham where Josiah is the Facilities Supervisor on the staff of St John's Church, Harborne.

With two degrees in mediaeval studies, a longstanding interest in the Lady Julian's place among the mediaeval mystics, a wide breadth of church experience in the UK and USA, an enthusiasm for hospitality and stability rooted in a rhythm of prayer, work and rest, an entrepreneurial spirit including a published novel at the age of 16, and a passion for community building, Josiah will bring a great deal to the life and witness of the Julian Campus.  We are thrilled to have him on board as our development project continues, and eagerly look forward to welcoming him and Jo to their new home among us in the New Year.

Please hold them in your prayers as they prepare to move to Norwich.
