Companions Candlemas Online Conference 2nd and 3rd February 2023

'WHAT DOES JULIAN PRESENCE MEAN TODAY?'

How can we be like Julian today, as contemplative people of compassion, service, and prayer?

Online conference hosted by the Companions of Julian of Norwich
Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd February 2023

This Candlemas conference is for anyone who wants to take seriously the truth that Julian’s revelation of the Divine Love continues, and dearly desires to be responded to in the hidden roads and streets of our own cities, towns and villages today.

Speakers will include:

Graham Usher, the Bishop of Norwich who will speak on what Julian presence might mean at a time of climate and biodiversity emergency;

Tony Robinson, the Bishop of Wakefield who will speak on the value of consecrated life today - "Only in you do I have everything";

Mother Hilary, Guardian of Order of Julian of Norwich who will speak on patience and despair in the experience of Julian Presence today;

Sister Pamela from the Community of All Hallows who will speak on Julian Presence in Norwich and Norfolk yesterday, today, and tomorrow;

Sister Elizabeth Ruth Obbard of the Order of the Discalced Carmelites of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel who will speak on 'Becoming another Julian'; and

Father Colin of the Community for the Servants of the Will of God who will reflect on Julian's writings and the monastic tradition.

  • I too am very interested in this event and live in Boulder, Colorado. I would like to purchase 2 tickets in the hopes of viewing a video of the presentations at a later time due to time difference. Julian of Norwich is new to me only having read her book in 2020 and returning many time to it over the last two years.

  • Living in the USA, 9 am is very early (3 am ET where I live in North Carolina). Is it possible to register and to access a video of the presentations later in the day. I am very interested in the event and have plans to come to Norwich in February 2023 with three spiritual friends. Together we have been reading Julian and recently visited with Robert Fruehwirth near us here in NC.
